Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat complex medical conditions within the area of specialization.

Perform advanced procedures and surgeries beyond the scope of general veterinary practice.

Collaborate with general veterinarians by offering consultations and second opinions.

Interpret specialized diagnostic tests.

Design and implement treatment plans for chronic, acute, or rare conditions.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with UAE veterinary regulations.

Educate and mentor veterinary staff, interns, and support personnel.

Contribute to continuing education and public awareness on animal health within the community.

Ensure animal welfare standards are upheld according to Dubai Municipality and MOCCAE guidelines.

Requirements for the Role

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.

Board certification or advanced qualification in a veterinary specialty (e.g., ACVS, ACVIM, ECVIM, etc.).

Valid veterinary license to practice in Dubai (UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment license).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chosen specialty.

Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in a referral or specialty hospital setting.

Excellent communication skills for client interactions and inter-professional collaboration.

Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, given Dubai’s multicultural population.

Fluent in English (Arabic or other languages is a plus).
